Outreach

As Episcopalians, we believe we are called to go into the world and let all we meet know that there is a God who loves us, a God who will not let us go, and that the love of Jesus can set us all free. One of the ways we do that is through Outreach. At All Saints, we strive to reach out to our brothers and sisters in Christ through work locally, regionally, and in the wider world.

LOCAL

All Saints Food Pantry: “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” Matthew 25:35

The All Saints Food Pantry is open from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Tuesdays to Houston County residents within 200% of the federal poverty level. Donations may be dropped off in the office building, by appointment. You can donate to the Food Pantry Fund here.

Breaking Barriers: Spending time with our Food Pantry guests revealed that for some, a helping hand is needed to obtain vital records if they are to transition from homelessness to steady work and housing stability. Breaking Barriers helps those requiring a social security card, government-issued photo ID, and certified copies of birth certificates.

Family Promise: All Saints supports Family Promise, an organization that helps homeless families get back on their feet. You can donate here.

Local Elementary Schools: All Saints supports Westside Elementary, helping to meet the needs of students and families. Annual donations are also provided to the Houston County Title I Schools Principals’ Discretionary Funds by the ECW.

Rector’s Discretionary Fund: Mother Bonnie’s primary use for the Rector’s Discretionary Fund is to help the local community. During the Food Pantry hours each Tuesday, Deacon Barbara leads a small team in helping those who need assistance with utilities and temporary housing. You can donate to the Rector’s Discretionary Fund here.

Shawl Ministry: All Saints Prayer Shawl Ministry gathers weekly to pray and crochet/knit shawls for those in need and those celebrating life’s joys. As they create shawls for others, their handiwork becomes an expression of their love and the loving care of the God who works through them.
